AFTER AN ABSENCE OF SEVERAL YEARS DOES AIR INDIA RETURN TO KENYA IN SEPTEMBER
(Posted 22nd July 2019)
On the 27th of September, a day recognized around the world as UNWTO’s ‘World Tourism Day‘, will Air India return to Nairobi.
The Indian flag carrier will initially serve the route with four flights per week using a Boeing B787 Dreamliner.
The move supports the marketing efforts of the Kenya Tourism Board which has been actively working the Indian market as arrivals from that country ranked it fifth last year in terms of numbers of visitors to from India to Kenya.
Until now did Air India have a code share agreement with Kenya Airways, which serves the route with daily flights. It could not be established by the time of uploading the article if the deal will continue and widen the range of flights from seven to eleven or if both airlines will go it on their own in the future.
