Additional Dash 8-202
AirKenya is excited to announce the delivery of an additional Dash 8-202 in December 2023. The 37-seater aircraft is undergoing refurbishment to update its livery and interior in line with the AirKenya brand and will be ready for service in time for the busy high season period. This aircraft, renowned for its speed, comfort, and efficiency, will elevate your travel experience, connecting you to your destinations like never before. The quieter fuel-efficient engines portray our continuous commitment to sustainable operations in aviation. This aircraft is AirKenya’s second Dash 8, growing our fleet size to 9 comprising the 2 Dash 8’s, 2 Dash 7’s, 3 Twin Otters and 2 Caravans.

Ongoing Constructions of the New Check-out Terminal
We are continuously seeking ways to improve every aspect of your premium travel experience; from the moment you book your flight to when you arrive at your destination. We are therefore thrilled to share the news of the construction of a new Arrivals Terminal at our premises at Wilson Airport, Nairobi.
The Arrivals Terminal will be operational in May 2024 and will be equipped with a baggage retrieval area and washrooms, making your arrival back to Nairobi more comfortable and seamless, in line with the departure process and amenities offered at our exclusive Departure Lounge.

Enhanced Charter Capabilities in Tanzania with Support from Airkenya
Regional Air is delighted to share that our charter service capabilities in Tanzania have received a significant boost, thanks to the collaboration we have with our sister company, AirKenya. With the additional Dash 8 coming into service soon and the existing fleet of Dash 8 and 7’s, the group taps into its synergies to ensure efficient delivery of charter flights to our customers across the region. Kisoro Runway Closure Notice
Following our previous communication, AeroLink Uganda wishes to remind our valued passengers and stakeholders about the temporary closure of Kisoro Runway 18/36. Please find the details and necessary adjustments to your travel plans as outlined below:
NOTAM (Notice to Airmen): B0002/24
- Closure Period: Starting Saturday, 27th January 2024, until Sunday, 10th March 2024.
- Runway Affected: KISORO RUNWAY 18/36 will be closed to all aircraft operations.
- Reference: AD 2-HUKI-1-3 (30 MAR 17).
- Issued by: Uganda Civil Aviation Authority
Reason for Closure
The closure initiated by the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority, is part of concerted efforts to elevate safety and enhance operational efficiency. During this period, essential maintenance and upgrades will be executed to ensure the runway conforms to stringent safety and quality standards. After these upgrades, we expect to offer more efficient service and enhanced payload capacity.
How This Affects Your Travel
Flights scheduled to arrive at or depart from Kisoro during the closure period will be affected. We are committed to minimizing the impact on your travel plans and will offer alternative arrangements to ensure your journey with us remains smooth and convenient.
