CONNECTIVITY IN AFRICA ON THE UP AGAIN

(Posted 18th December 2020)

Entebbe to Kinshasa launches today as Airlink announces new service from Cape Town to Harare

Uganda Airlines now connects the country with neighbours Congo three times a week, leaving Entebbe every Sunday, Tuesday and Friday and returning the same day. Travelers heading onwards to Nairobi have a convenient direct connection in Entebbe.
The route will be served with the airline’s CRJ900 aircraft, configured in a two class layout of Business and Economy.
The latest route launch is to be followed by Johannesburg, served in conjunction with Lusaka from January onwards.
Meanwhile has Airlink, fast becoming South Africa’s leading airline, also announced another route, planning to connect Cape Town with Harare as of 18th of January 2021.
Said Rodger Foster, CEO of Airlink, while making the announcement: ‘Airlink is excited to be launching this important new route, which will provide convenience to business and leisure travellers, saving them precious hours transferring via Johannesburg and also limiting their exposure to potential touch-points, which is a key consideration as we adjust our travelling habits during the COVID-19 pandemic. Airlink’s unique service on the route will also support trade, commerce and tourism between the two cities and their respective markets at a time when it is desperately needed‘.
The new route will be served initially four times a week, leaving Cape Town every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
