AIR MAURITIUS’ FIRST STATE OF THE ART A350-900 PERFORMS MAIDEN FLIGHT

Airbus has confirmed that Air Mauritius’ first A350-900 has taken to the skies to perform the maiden flight over the Mediterranean to check out systems and evaluate performance.
Presently registered in France as F-WZNN will the aircraft on delivery bear the new registration 3B-NBP when making her ferry flight to Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport in a few weeks.
Air Mauritius is listed as an A350 customer with 6 orders and has more recently also added an order of two A330-900Neos as the replacement of the existing and ageing Airbus A340 fleet goes underway.
Two of the A350-900’s are due for delivery this year and will enter service in Q3 with the two aircraft deployed for daily flights to Paris and a three times a week service to London Heathrow.
The cabin will be configured in a two class layout of Business and Economy and offer 28 flat bed seats and 298 regular economy class seats respectively.
