The Airline Planning Seminar which targeted senior airline executives from the commercial, finance, operations and fleet planning background was an ideal educational experience for participants to gain various knowledge across key functional areas of the airline industry.

The seminar aimed at promoting and leading African airlines entailed several interactive presentations and working sessions concerning the implementation of airline strategies, the development of business models, airplane economics, network and fleet planning, airplane performance as well as the management of airline financial analysis.

Air Seychelles was represented at the seminar by the Manager of Corporate Financial Control, Tyrian Gendron who highlighted: “The seminar was very informative as I got the chance to learn more about the airline industry apart from meeting with experts from the African aviation field. Besides working on a few case studies where we had the chance to apply the knowledge gained from the presentations delivered, together with the other participants especially those working in the field of finance, the seminar provided the opportunity for financial airline staff members to acquire additional knowledge on the key finance functions of airlines having an extensive fleet and network.”

A total of 50 African airlines attended the Airline Planning Seminar which was hosted by RwandAir.
