AIR SEYCHELLES LONG – SERVING STAFF RECOGNIZED AT SPECIAL AWARDS CEREMONY

Air Seychelles, the national airline of Seychelles, yesterday presented 66 staff with long-service awards in recognition of their outstanding dedication to the airline.
The special awards ceremony took place in the Air Seychelles VIP Lounge located at the Seychelles International Airport where the staff, who have all been with the company for over 10 to 40 years, were thanked for their years of service.
The group came from various airline departments including Ground Operations, Cabin Operations, Flight Operations, Sales and Distribution, Finance, Human Resources, Technical Operations and Cargo.
Remco Althuis Chief Executive Officer of Air Seychelles, said: “I would like to extend my congratulations Seychellois colleagues who have contributed towards the development of the national airline throughout the years. Today Air Seychelles marks its 40th anniversary and I am pleased to see that at the moment we have a few staff members within our team whose years of service coincides with the anniversary of the airline. This is definitely a great achievement for the national airline and for that I want to personally express my gratitude and loyalty towards these staff members”.
Marion Francoise, Sales and Ticketing Manager at Air Seychelles, was amongst one of the staff who was rewarded during the special evening for working with the airline for 10 years.
Sharing her experience with the airline, she said: “After being carefully groomed and trained for over ten years in my field of work and I can proudly say that I am happy with my job at Air Seychelles. It has not been an easy road as there were instances when I had to face several challenges to reach the current position I presently hold today. Gaining the necessary experience needed throughout my job, I slowly climbed the career ladder and being amongst one of the young professionals at Air Seychelles, I am proud to remain with the national airline to keep the Seychelles flag flying high’’.
