AIRLINE REDUNDANCIES TAKE EFFECT TOMORROW
(Posted 31st May 2018)
Today is D-Day for 126 Air Seychelles staff who will be served with their letters of redundancy and given their calculated pay as, effective tomorrow, 01st of June, they will no longer work at the national airline.
When the initial announcements were made did the number of redundancies stand at 174 but this number was according to information received from Victoria reduced to 126 as a result of staff leaving the company on their own volition or accepting transfer to a different department within the organization.
The Seychelles government has approved the payouts which stand at 5 months regular pay while cabin crew made redundant will also receive a further 3 months of flying allowances.
Meanwhile had the airline earlier in the week announced a deal for 2 brand new Airbus A320Neo’s which will join the fleet in the second half of next year.
