Air Seychelles has this week attended the Airline Lab Sub-Saharan Africa 2019 held in Zanzibar.
Hosted by Airbus at the Park Hyatt hotel, the three day programme composed of short presentations, group exercise and flight plan simulation focused on three main areas of the airline business including operations, economics and the global market.
Besides learning about the various ways to identify, develop and grow an airline business, participants at the conference also had the chance to gain insightful information about the latest industry trends, the importance of revenue management, continuous developments in the airline industry and the best-practices being implemented globally.
The conference started with a welcoming cocktail event on Monday the 13th of May 2019 and created a networking platform for aviation professionals to meet, share and exchange ideas.
The forum also entailed an exciting ‘Flight Plan’ session, a unique and powerful airline management simulation game, testing the skills and ideas of the delegates on the final day on Thursday, 16th of May, 2019.
Corporate Finance Control Manager, Sujaa Pillay who attended the conference said: “The Airbus Airline Lab was an insightful experience and the programme was structured with informative presentations about the various airlines operating in Africa. The conference also comprised of workshops designed for participants to instantly apply what they have learned such as how to schedule routes for an airline. My favourite part throughout the three day session was the simulation game which was very interactive as it required one to be accurate and pay attention to details which further build the competitive spirit amongst the airlines representatives at the event.”
