Air Tanzania last week took delivery of their first Boeing B737-Max9 aircraft, incidentally the first Max9 to be delivered to an African airline. A second such aircraft is also on order, alongside a third Boeing B787-8.
The aircraft was reportedly flown into Dar es Salaam from Boeing’s Seattle field and had two transit stops enroute, one of them in Dakar / Senegal.
The aircraft is actually owned by Tanzania Government Flight but leased to Air Tanzania which will operate the aircraft.
