Air Tanzania will launch flights from Dar es Salaam to Johannesburg, South Africa’s commercial capital, effective 28th of June, initially serving the route three times a week.
The airline intends to use their single class Airbus A220-300 but also their Boeing B787 on the route, as the latter also offers Business Class.
Air Tanzania has also given a new date – after several past shifts of commencement dates – to fly to Mumbai in India.
These flights, to be operated with the Boeing B787, will also initially operate three times a week and launch on the 17th of July. The aircraft, delivered a year ago, has since been used to fly on the domestic routes between Dar es Salaam and Mwanza.

Meanwhile has RwandAir also finalised their planning to launch flights from Kigali to Guangzhou, using their three class Airbus A330 on the route.
The service will operate via Mumbai and tag on to the current flights to India’s commercial capital as of 18th of June.
The Guangzhou flights will operate three times a week on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday out of Kigali, returning to Kigali on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
Guangzhou, previously known as Canton, is a preferred destination for several African airlines due to the trading links the city and its industries have with Africa and the subsequent demand for seats on the route.
Once operational will the Chinese city become RwandAir’s 28th destination.
