The French Indian Ocean island of Mayotte was the focus of Alain St. Ange’s third lecture to cruise ship passengers aboard ‘The World’.

One of the insights he provided was from his researcb into the history of the island and the key USPs of Mayotte. Said Alain St. Ange to ATCNews: ‘I discovered the whereabouts of ‘Dywn Wen’ the grand two mast wooden schooner that used to sail the Seychelles waters as a luxurious tourism vessel. Sadly it sunk in the Mayotte lagoon after breaking anchor and is now a dive wreck.’

His audience on board, captivated by Alain’s unique style of speaking ‘off the cuff’, i.e. without a written script, was reportedly thrilled by his presentation earlier today as well as his previous two presentation on the destination the cruise liner was to call on next.

Additional lectures are to follow in coming days until Alain deboards the vessel in Port Victoria / Seychelles.
