Alain St. Ange delivers his 5th lecture on board of luxury cruise liner

Zanzibar is the subject of the 5th lecture in the 8-Lecture Series by Alain St.Ange as he cruises into East African waters.

Alain St.Ange, the former Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports and Marine of the Seychelles yesterday delivered his 5th Lecture of his 8-Lecture Series cruising along the coast from Durban in South Africa all the way to Seychelles with stops in Maputo, Mozambique Island, Mayotte, Comoros, Zanzibar, Dar Es Salaam and Mombasa.

 

Today he spoke about the Zanzibar and other Tanzanian islands off the coast and touched on the history as well as the tourism attractions of the East African coast Island bofore he joined passengers to visit Mafia Island.

 

Mafia was the venue for the most informal setting for an Official Meeting by Mrs Aziza Mangosongo, the DC of the island and Alain St.Ange of Seychelles

Mrs Aziza Mangosongo, the DC of Mafia Island and Alain St.Ange, the former Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports and Marine of the Seychelles met on a pristine beach setting of Mafia Island and together they discussed cooperation on tourism as an industry.

Mr St.Ange is today head of his “Saint Ange Tourism Consultancy” and landed on Mafia Island as part of a shore excursion for passengers of a luxury cruiser that had entered Tanzanian waters.

Mrs Aziza Mangosongo, the DC of Mafia Island is pushing a tourism industry vision and is seeking professional expertise and support in order to increase the visibility of her island, to attract investors and to put forward the USPs of Mafia Island which includes whale shark viewing excursions that remains close enough to shore.

 

 

In a press meeting that followed the official meeting both Mrs Aziza Mangosongo and Mr Alain St.Ange expressed their commitment to explore further possible cooperation avenues including organising for press to visit the Mafia Island of Tanzania

 

 

Mrs Aziza Mangosongo, the DC of Mafia Island will be discussing further the points rsised with her island administration and is set to communicate with Mr Alain St.Ange in writing on the island’s chosen approach for cooperation.

 

The next stops of the cruise, and subject to lectures 6 and 7, will be Dar es Salaam, followed by Mombasa and finally Port Victoria, the Seychelles’ capital city where Alain will disembark, bidding farewell to his audience.
