Amadeus East Africa Round Up Of 2016

Most recently, Amadeus and the UNWTO joined forces with the Ministry of Tourism, Kenya, to pilot a programme that helps young people gain the skills needed to work in travel and tourism. As a result, more members of the local communities will be able to benefit from tourism and travel.

During the past month, we have celebrated innovation in Africa through the Amadeus Movers & Shapers campaign. We’ve put the spotlight on the true game-changers of the travel industry in Africa. Here we meet our winner Patrick.

Students from Kenya, South Africa and Tanzania headed to Nice in France to present their research on how Heritage Tourism can enhance the tourist experience in their respective countries. The students explained their views on the role of sustainability and technology in supporting heritage tourism development.
