An appeal ‘ForRangers’

HELP SUPPORT FRONTLINE ANTI POACHING STAFF

Keith Roberts just launched another appeal to help support the frontline staff in the fight against illegal poaching, the ranger forces employed by national wildlife management bodies and other organizations.
I found his appeal worth it to be republished here on my blog, to a large part due to the geographical reach this offers but also the sheer number of registered readers wolfganghthome.wordpress.com has now reached.
I hope this appeal touches your heart and opens your purses to assist ‘ForRangers‘ in their quest to raise funds and support those who need it most:

As you know I am part of the initiative called For Rangers. We created
this initiative to support the rangers and their families as so often
they get little to no support from the organizations they work for in
Africa. Many have no socks, boots or rain jackets; when rangers are
wounded or killed in action there is no welfare or disability support.
To address some of the challenges faced we created For Rangers and
actively support rangers with much needed basic equipment, training
and we support widows of rangers killed in action. Having been a
ranger for many years and on the front line for most of that time I
can attest first-hand to the hardships rangers face and the dedication
that these men and women give.

To raise awareness and funds we compete in extreme sporting events or
carry out expeditions and as such I am running and, I am sure at
times, walking but hopefully not crawling, the 250km Desert Ultra in
Namibia in mid-November. If you would like to support us please visit
the following link http://www.virginmoneygiving.com/KeithForRangers.
If you could share the For rangers link with others it would be hugely
appreciated.

I have a few epic events planned for 2018, both within Kenya and
abroad, and one of our team is planning an Everest attempt. So I
strongly encourage you to go out and have fun, sweat some blood and
tears and support this initiative with some active participation be
it walking, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, running, parachuting, horse
riding, surfing, stand up paddle boarding, rock climbing or anything
that crosses your mind.

Remember you rest you rust J

Many thanks
Best,

Keith’
