Ann Safari Operations Manager not only shines with her big smile in her traditional dress with her colleague Roberto La Mela GM Hotel Gemano next to her all looking at Chef Aman Nagi (without Chef’s hat) who cool and calmly coordinated this joint Kenyan-Italian Gala event.
Coastweek — Leopard Beach Resort and Spa, voted during the recent World Travel Awards again as Kenya’s leading resort set once more the pace for others to follow this renowned trendsetter on Kenya’s coast.

With over 300 guests, both in-house and Diani Residents the resorts Horizon Restaurant was not only beautifully decorated in Italian colours but also packed to capacity for a special Italian Gala Buffet dinner event on December 1st 2013.

Parc Hotels Italia who operates three hotels in Sicily and five on Lake Garda cooperated with Executive Chef Boniface and Sous Chef Amman Nagi and the Chui Kitchen brigade to stage this very special event with many Italian specialities and dishes to sample from under the watchful eyes of the Parc Hotels Kitchen Brigade in-house guests who took charge to ensure that all was done to Italian perfection.

With the resorts full service facilities unique wine list of over 120 wines to chose from Geoffrey the F&B Manager was all smiles recording records sales as guests not only dined but also wined to dance the night away.

For 10 years Madame Helena – affectionately known as “Mama Helena’’ – Malm Chincherini who is a true friend of Kenya with her own residence on famous Diani Beach awards and rewards her hardworking staff.

Coastweek — Adam Sheikh former long serving General Manager of Baobab/Kole Kole Resorts and now Minister for Tourism in The County Government of Kwale is seen sampling spaghetti the way Helena Malm Chincherini makes them in Italy and now in Kenya courtesy of Parc Hotels during the recent Italian Gala Buffet dinner at the action packed Leopard Beach Resort and Spa.
As owner and President of this 4 stars hotel group she selects long service staff and those who delivered outstanding services during the very hectic summer season which ended in October and invites them for a 15 days stay at Diani Beach organized now for many years by Paola Safaris, who operate from the South Coast and is well known in Italy for quality services and arrangements.

This joint venture by Parc Hotel and the Leopard Beach Resort, also serves as a much needed positive PR for destination Kenya coast as mentioned by Adam Sheihk, Minister for Tourism in The Kwale County Government who also held talks with Horst Kunkel Vice President DER Touristik for long haul operation and another friend of Kenya who was also present for this colourful evening.

Both appreciate the continued efforts by Chris Modigell O.G.W. and his able team to portray a positive image in trying times when it is difficult to create a merry atmosphere in poorly occupied hotels as experienced now by many hoteliers which also effects the staff morale.

Chris is very grateful to Madame Helena to have selected the Leopard Beach Resort and Spa for its large variety of bars and restaurants for her 60 Parc Hotels management and staff to relax and enjoy which also includes the Uzuri Spa – voted this year as Africa’s leading Spa Resort
