Is it an early wildebeest migration?
We have recently received reports of the Migration coming into the Masai Mara from our "intelligence" , due to the dry conditions in the Serengeti. The Migration herds are spread out, though we expect them to cross back. The wildebeest migration spectacle normally comes into the Mara, late June – early July.

CSR – Conservation of our wildlife animals
This last Wednesday our Corporate Social Responsibility team did something different from all of our usual activities. Some of our staff, with the help of the African Fund For Endangered wildlife (AFEW), set out to accompany students from the Body of Christ Children’s home (BOC), Limuru, for an educational trip organised and sponsored by AFEW, a non-profit making organization whose main objective is to provide conservation education for school children and the youth of Kenya, who also operate the Giraffe Centre in Langata.
The first highlight of the trip was the Giraffe Centre, which acts as a secure breeding place for the endangered Rothschild Giraffe in Kenya. Here the children enjoyed educational talks and fed the Giraffe.
They then proceeded to the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, where they listened to talks on the importance of protecting our elephants and other animals against poaching. The children also got to view baby elephants.
The children were treated to lunch at the Mamba Village, and enjoyed an unforgettable afternoon visit to the Kenya Wildlife Service animal orphanage.
