LET410 CRASHLANDS IN #KAMINA #DRCONGO

Just two weeks after Congo’s aviation authorities restored the AOC to crash airline Busy Bee – allegedly following intervention of politicians linked to the owners – has the country’s aviation sector been rocked by yet another crash landing.

A 32 year old Czech built LET 410, owned and operated by Air Fast Congo, registered as 9S-GDX, upon landing in Kamina lost control, veered off the runway and suffered extensive damage, though all passengers and crew reportedly escaped the wreck without major injuries.
Air Fast, like all other Congolese airlines, is on the EU’s blacklist forbidding them to fly into or across European airspace, largely caused by EASA concerns about aviation safety in Congo and what is becoming ever more clear, derelict oversight.
The aircraft was on a flight from Lubumbashi to Kamina with two crew and 16 passengers on board.
