SEYCHELLES ONCE AGAIN IN TRIPADVISOR’S TOP 25 BEACHES AS EAST AFRICA MISSES OUT

The island of Praslin, and its famous Anse Lazio beach, has made it into the top 25 best beaches named by TripAdvisor for 2017 in a contest which saw the global who is who, or rather which is which of island and oceanside destinations named.
The list was topped by Baia do Sancho in Brazil followed by Turks and Caicos’ Grace Bay. Third came Aruba’s Eagle Beach before Playa Paraiso in Cuba, Florida’s Siesta Beach, San Sebastian / Spain’s La Concha Beach, Playa Norte of Isla Mujeres, Andaman and Nicobar’s Radhanagar Beach, Greece’s Elafonissi Beach and in tenth Puerto Ayora’s Galapagos Beach in Ecuador.
Other beaches in the top 25 came from Grand Cayman, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Chile, the Whitsunday islands, France, Cyprus, Honduras, South Africa, Cape Verde, Costa Rica, Boracay and Myanmar.
Sadly did East Africa miss out as neither Kenya’s previous award winners Lamu, Watamu and Diani were among the top 25 nor did any of the beaches of Zanzibar make it there too.
