About AfCFTA
The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) aims to boost intra-African trade and Africa’s global position by creating a unified market. Approved in 2012, it’s a key part of the African Union’s Agenda 2063 development plan. With 36 countries having ratified the agreement as of February 2021, the AfCFTA is poised to deliver quick economic wins and solidify African ownership of its development goals.
Workshop Details
This workshop aims to:
- Build capacity among negotiators, regulators, and stakeholders in the Tourism Services sector.
- Prepare participants for upcoming negotiations on the AfCFTA Regulatory Framework for Tourism Services.
- Gather feedback on draft key elements to be included in the Regulatory Framework.
