#ATCAF2023 gains momentum

In a groundbreaking initiative, the Sayari Dunia Sustainable Tourism Foundation (SDSTF) has officially launched the Africa Tourism Climate Action Forum (ATCAF) 2023, which is presently ongoing kickoff successfully on the 24th November, 2023 in Ado Ekiti.

 

 

The opening ceremony event commenced with the Nigerian national anthem and the African Union Anthem, Abigail Olagbaye, the President of the Sayari Dunia Sustainable Tourism Foundation organizers of the ATCAF 2023 event welcomed participants and set the stage for the forum.

Notable figures present included His Excellency Mr. Alain St. Ange, Former Minister of Tourism, Aviation, Ports and Marine – Seychelles, Dr. Tope Fasua, Special Adviser to the President on Economy, and Amb. Wale Ojo Lanre, Director General Bureau of Tourism Development.

The Women’s Forum, moderated by Senami, featured closing remarks by Mrs. Oso Omotosho. Among the distinguished attendees were Dr. Abioye Adedipe, Representative of FTAN President; Mr. Emmanuel Ntuyang, Representative of the Conservator General of the National Parks Service; Mr. Tunde Akinola, representing the Hon. Commissioner for Environment, Ekiti State; Mr. Mathew Famuagun, Executive Secretary of Ekiti State Forestry Commission, represented by Dr. Akinyemi Akinyugha, SSA to the Ekiti state Governor on Green Economy and Climate Change. The conference promises to be a pivotal platform for advancing sustainable tourism and climate action in Africa.
