(Posted 27th April 2021)

AFRAA and AviaDev strike up collaborative

partnership to support African Aviation

We are delighted to announce that AFRAA and AviaDev have entered into a supporter partnership in recognition of our shared objective to see African aviation thrive. We are strong believers in collaboration and our two organisations have worked closely together over the past years through conference participation and content sharing, so this is a natural step.

This week, AviaDev Founder and CEO, Jon Howell caught up with Nowel Ngala, who holds the position of Commercial and Ground Operations Director at ASKY Airlines and who has been recently appointed Chairman of the Aero political Affairs committee at AFRAA.

In the podcast, Nowel outlines his priorities in this role and we dive deep into the thorny topic of taxes and charges, which is the key topic of his most recent blog post, which you can read by clicking here

This is a wide ranging discussion that cuts to the heart of the matter so please join the debate.

Finally, The African Airlines Association (AFRAA) is pleased to invite its members, partners and all air transport industry stakeholders to the Association’s 9th Aviation Stakeholders Convention (ASC) which will take place from 18 – 19 May 2021.

Taking place under the theme: “Building Blocks for the Air Transport Industry Recovery,” the event is being graciously hosted by Ethiopian Airlines and will be staged in virtual format.

Registration Open – AFRAA’s 9th Aviation Stakeholders Convention

The African Airlines Association (AFRAA) is pleased to invite its members, partners and all air transport industry stakeholders to the Association’s 9th Aviation Stakeholders Convention (ASC) which will take place from 18 – 19 May 2021.

Taking place under the theme: “Building Blocks for the Air Transport Industry Recovery,” the event is being graciously hosted by Ethiopian Airlines and will be staged in virtual format.

The Convention will provide an ideal forum for air transport industry stakeholders to dialogue, exchange knowledge and experiences for the sector’s recovery efforts and deliberate on feasible solutions to alleviate the industry challenges. We would have loved to meet you in person at the Convention but due to the travel restrictions and measures to contain the COVID-19 pandemic, a physical conference is not possible at this time of the year. AFRAA Secretariat and Ethiopian Airlines are preparing to make your online experience at the event truly memorable.

Please visit the event website for more information: https://asc.afraa.org/.

AFRAA and Ethiopian Airlines look forward to your participation at the 9th Aviation Stakeholders Convention.
