Sean Mendis was the immediate past Chief Operations Officer at Africa World Airlines where he served from 2018-2020, reprising a role he originally held at the airline’s startup from 2010-2012. He has had a 20-year career in aviation management across many different countries, including passenger and cargo airlines, ground handling companies, jet fuel providers, and in-airport management. He specialises in African operations, having successfully started up 3 airlines in the continent since 2005.
