The ASPC-Rwanda is an initiative from the AviAssist Foundation and a joint undertaking with the Rwanda Civil Aviation Authority, RwandAir, the aviation academy of the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, the University of Tourism, Technology & Business Studies (UTB) in Kigali and the JAA-TO. The ASPC-Rwanda is growing into East Africa’s leading resource centre for safety promotion, with training courses just one of the services offered.

| Human Factors in Aviation |
| Kigali, Rwanda / 16-17 April & 19-20 April – US$ 250 |
| Human performance is fundamental to operational safety in aviation as the majority of incidents and accidents are attributable to human error. This course introduces participants to the principles of human factors awareness, the factors that affect personal performance and how the human element interfaces with equipment, the working environment, the tools to be used and the organizational context. |
| Airport Wildlife Management |

| This course teaches the knowledge, skills and tools needed to implement an effective airport wildlife management plan. Numerous African airports face airport wildlife management risks that need to be addressed.The management of wildlife on and near airports is not usually an easy task. It can be as diverse as habitat manipulation to use of predators to repelling wildlife to lethal control of wildlife. Understanding wildlife hazards will increase chances for the implementation of a stakeholder supported wildlife management plan. |

| Aircraft dispatcher’s course |

| This course is offered by Jeppesen under the auspices of the AviAssist Safety Promotion Centre – Rwanda. Jeppesen is part of the Boeing family.
Jeppesen has long and proven track record in providing Dispatcher Certification training, helping to prepare flight dispatchers worldwide to take the written, oral, and practical exams leading to issuance of an aircraft dispatcher license. Upon successful completion of the course, you will have the background necessary to earn the FAA Dispatcher Certificate, or a license issued through another National Aviation Administrations (NAA’s).

| Transport of Dangerous Goods |
| Kigali, Rwanda/ 17-21 September – US$ 625 |
The AviAssist Foundation is organising this intensive course to address the shortage of courses in the region addressing dangerous goods. The course gives an overview of many aspects of the transport of dangerous goods by air providing essential guidance to airport & airline managers and staff on best practices, procedures and regulations. It is taught by Special Cargo Services T&C, a Dutch CAA and IATA approved training and examination institute.
Upon completion you will understand and be able to apply the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations.
The course is taught in accordance with Chapter 1;4 of the ICAO Technical Instructions and Subsection 1.5 of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations.
The course fee include your own copy of the latest edition of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, valued at US$328. |
