226 PERCENT GROWTH PROJECTED FOR ETHIOPIAN AIRLINES OVER THE NEXT TWO DECADES

While African airlines are expected to lose at least 400 million US Dollars this year, have IATA data suggested that Ethiopian Airlines may enjoy a massive growth over the next 15 or so years.
The data were made available during the just ended Aviation Africa Summit, which was held over the past few days in the Ethiopian capital of Addis Ababa at the Ethiopian Skylight Hotel.
Ethiopia is set to construct a new mega airport to have the infrastructure in place for such growth, notwithstanding the present #COVID19 related downturn in demand for air travel.
Passenger numbers for Ethiopian are expected to more than double compared to present day, with more than 23.5 million, according to IATA, thought to travel with Ethiopian Airlines by the second half of the 2030’s.
