SERENGETI SERENA GETS ANOTHER AWARD IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS

Serena’s carpenters will no doubt be busy to build another extension to their trophy cabinet as only a few days ago did news break of East Africa’s leading hotel, resort and safari lodge group bagging another award. The Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge has once again been featured in the World’s Best Hotels 2015 – according to the popular Travel + Leisure Magazine (T+L). This is the fourth time the lodge – which is located in very centre of the vast Serengeti National Park – is featured in this prestigious online magazine.
The annual survey carried amongst the Travel +Leisure global readership was audited and revealed the top destinations, hotels, airlines, cruise liners, spas and travel agents in the second week of December 2014.
Travel + Leisure is a travel magazine based in New York, is published 12 times a year and has 4.8 million readers, many of whom voted for their personal favourites.
Serena has throughout the year bagged a series of awards and recognitions, including from Conde Nast and other leading travel publications for a number of their 24 properties in the Eastern African countries of Uganda (one hotel in Kampala and one resort on Lake Victoria), Rwanda (one hotel in Kigali and one resort on the shores of Lake Kivu), Kenya (ten hotels, resorts and safari lodges) and Tanzania (ten hotels, resorts and safari lodges).
Also part of the group is the Polana Serena, the grand ol’ dame of hospitality in the Mozambique capital of Maputo.
