| Serengeti Balloon Safaris and Seasons We are often asked, “where is the best place for a balloon safari?” or “when is the best time for a balloon safari?” – short questions but complex answers, so we’ve distilled it for you below: |

| Central Serengeti This is year-round the most consistent and often the most convenient place to enjoy a hot air balloon safari. It’s great for cats, small antelopes, magnificent scenery, excellent for hippos (see, hear, smell them!) and it enjoys the wildebeest migration in May-June and November-December. It is available throughout the year. |

| Serengeti South (Ndutu) From mid-December through to the end of March, when the short grass plains are green and the wildebeest are congregated in this area, it is magical. The endless plains are an incredible sight from the air, especially when they are teeming with herbivores and it’s not just wildebeest, also their companions, the zebra and often herds of leaping eland, ostriches, gazelles and more. Plus the lions and hyenas that follow the migration, as well as cheetah, who thrive on the open plains. |

| Western Corridor (Kirawira) From Mid-May to July, there’s a great chance to see the mega-herds but it’s available all the way though to October. Make the most of this wonderful but under-used part of Serengeti, flying down the Grumeti River is an absolute highlight! |

| Serengeti North (Kogatende) From July to October we’ve had consistently excellent migration flights over the Mara river, ridges, river lines and plains of North Serengeti over the last few years and 2022 has been just as good! For a quieter time to experience this gorgeous area, we are staying open to include the Christmas and New Year period by popular demand! |
