#Batumi prepares to host Europe’s travel leaders

Europe’s new tourism hotspot, Batumi, Georgia is gearing up to host the leading travel industry figureheads from across the continent for WTA’s Europe Gala Ceremony 2023. The celebrations will include a complimentary three-day itinerary to enable international guests to uncover why Batumi is Europe’s new tourism investment capital. The trip will take in key tourist and heritage sites, and culminate in the red-carpet WTA Europe Gala Ceremony 2023 on 29 September.

Paradise Saint Lucia kickstarts WTA’s 30th anniversary celebrations


World Travel Awards Caribbean & The Americas 2023 winners

WTA’s 30th anniversary celebrations got underway in style on 26 August, when the paradise island of Saint Lucia stepped up to host the Caribbean & The Americas Gala Ceremony 2023.

The red carpet evening, staged at Sandals Grand St. Lucian, proved a fitting opening leg of the WTA’s Grand Tour 2023 – a global search for the finest travel and tourism organisations.

Winners included Jamaica, which saw off a tough field to emerge as ‘Caribbean’s Leading Destination’. Canada was named ‘North America’s Leading Destination’. Peru was voted ‘South America’s Leading Destination’, whilst Costa Rica picked up the prize for ‘Mexico & Central America’s Leading Destination’.

Following the success of its inaugural ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City last year, WTA returned to the fascinating metropolis for its Asia & Oceania Gala Ceremony 2023. The red-carpet reception at the city’s GEM Center marked the second leg of WTA’s 30th anniversary world tour.

Vietnam’s breadth of natural wonders and its world-class hospitality helped the nation win the vote for ‘Asia’s Leading Destination’. Australia cemented its reputation as the land with it all to secure ‘Oceania’s Leading Destination’.
