Bike for Africa comes to Uganda

BRUSSELS AIRLINES BRINGS ‘BIKE FOR AFRICA’ TO UGANDA

(Posted 10th January 2014)

Supported by the Brussels Airlines Foundation will a group of cyclists from Belgium come to Uganda between the 29th of January and the 05th of February to raise funds for children’s projects in the country. They plan to cover a distance of about 450 kilometres from the Source of the Nile in Jinja to the Murchison’s Falls National Park. Local and international sponsors have committed themselves through various measures to make this first visit of ‘Bike for Africa’ to the Pearl of Africa a success. In Uganda notably are Marasa Africa, through their Chobe and Paraa lodges on board, as are Deloitte and Africa Cargo Services while back in Belgium Brussels Airport is one of the big names on the sponsors list. Be sure to watch this space for more updates over the next two and a half weeks and then from the event itself, as our cycling visitors arrive in the country and the show goes on the road, literally as well as proverbially.
