‘SAVOIR VIVRE‘ IS BACK IN THE EAST AFRICAN SKIES AS OF TONIGHT

In what can only be described as a super-human effort has Brussels Airlines as of right now resumed operations out of the airline’s East Africa destinations Kigali and Entebbe, though not to Brussels where Zaventem remains closed until further notice.
Special flight SN 1467 has left Kigali at 23.00 hrs local time for Entebbe to pick up passengers from Uganda before proceeding at 01.50 hrs to Zurich. From their will Star Alliance partners Swiss and Lufthansa ensure that passengers destined for onward long haul flights reach home, while passengers travelling to Brussels will very likely be flown on to either Antwerp or Liege. From these two airports does Brussels Airlines now serve a number of European destinations as of a few hours ago, when their taskforce responsible to restore air operations completed their mission and gave the thumbs up as the first flights began to arrive and depart.
Brussels Airlines, which home airport Zaventem is, as well as other airlines serving the European capital, all faced serious downtime when terrorists struck both the airport and the metro in Brussels and this latest development will be good news for passengers using the carrier to and from Kigali and Entebbe.
Brussels Airport has in the meantime confirmed that all commercial flight operations will remain suspended until at least Sunday 27th of March inclusive to all forensic teams complete their daunting task before airport personnel can then begin to clear debris and begin repair work.
