BRUSSELS AIRLINES JOINS ‘GOUT DE FRANCE‘ CELEBRATION

It was all smiles earlier in the week when the French Embassy invited the Brussels Airlines team to join them in the France Uganda Friendship Week celebrations which culminated in a major food event.
H.E. Mrs. Stephanie Rivaol, the French Ambassador to Uganda, interacted with the team prior and during some of the celebrations at Quality Hill, a Belgian owned enterprise and home to Le Chateau – Brasserie Belge, La Patisserie and the Le Petit Village where one of the week’s functions took place.
The Ambassador is seen in the picture above with the Brussels Airlines Country Manager Mr. Geert Lemmen and in the picture below with key members of the Brussels Airlines team from Kampala who regularly handle travel by the embassy personnel to France via Brussels.
One of the week’s highlights was the ‘Gout de France‘, a culinary celebrations spanning the entire globe with over 2.000 chefs participating and preparing multi course menus, here in Kampala most visibly executed by the Kampala Serena Hotel in their Pearl of Africa Restaurant two nights ago.
Chef Raphael and Sommelier Celestine created a perfect menu and were recognized accordingly with a certificate of participation.
An interview with Raphael and Celestine was published vis YouTube where they were able to elaborate on the celebrations and how they approached the task.
Of course is Brussels Airlines rightly famous for the top end cuisine served on board their flights to and from Entebbe and across the rest of Africa, Europe, North America and soon India. Michelin rated Chefs from Belgium create and prepare the menus for guests in Business Class together with an award winning wine and beer selection, the latter exclusively coming from Belgian breweries.
