Brussels Airlines key sponsor for the annual Beaujolais Nouveau launch

BRUSSELS AIRLINES AND FRENCH EMBASSY SET FOR ANNUAL BEAUJOLAIS NOUVEAU CELEBRATIONS

(Posted 10th November 2017)

Brussels Airlines will fly in the new Beaujolais for the annual celebrations of this well known French wine, allowing Kampaleans to enjoy a taste of the new vintage come 17th November.
Guests invited by the French Embassy and Brussels Airlines will gather next Friday at the Kabira Club – admission strictly by invitation cards – to mingle, discuss the new wine and no doubt talk plenty more after a glass or several.
Beaujolais Nouveau is a red wine made from Gamay grapes produced in the Beaujolais region of France. It is the most popular vin de primeur, French for new wine, and is fermented for just a few weeks before being released for sale on the third Thursday of November. Then, in a massive logistical operation, is the wine by the pallet loads flown to cities around the world to allow a global appreciation of French wine and culture.

Brussels Airlines will pick up the consignment on the day as the airline has done for several years now and fly it to Entebbe International Airport from where the wine will then make its way to the party venue.
Other French and Belgium owned companies like Total, Hima Cement, Intek Travel, the La Bougainviller Hotel and notably ENHAS, Entebbe’s leading ground services provider, will also make an appearance on the evening as co-sponsors of the event.
