Passengers flying with Brussels Airlines to Brussels or beyond, or transit through Belgium to a third country, will as of midnight tonight – 01st of August – have to provide their locator details to the airline ahead of checking in.
This is now a mandatory requirement by the Belgian government and applies to all passengers, even diplomatic staff.

The airline resumed flights on the 15th of June into the Schengen area of Europe and has since then gradually expanded their network to destinations which permit scheduled passenger flights again, albeit in many cases with restrictions and conditions for travelers.
Brussels Airlines wanted to resume flights to Uganda and Rwanda on the 15th of July but in the absence of any information from the Uganda government about the reopening of Entebbe International Airport was this plan shelved and resumption of services to Eastern Africa is uncertain as far as dates are concerned.
In contrast to Uganda have Kenya and Rwanda lifted their ban on international scheduled passenger flights and will allow airlines back into Nairobi, Mombasa and Kigali as of midnight tonight.
In the case of Kenya was it also confirmed that the nightly curfew does not apply for arriving and departing passengers who however may be asked to show ID, tickets and boarding passes at police check points.
