BERLIN FLIGHTS BY BRUSSELS AIRLINES WILL SHIFT TO NEW BRANDENBURG AIRPORT IN NOVEMBER

As from 8 November all Lufthansa Group airlines operate from Brandenburg
- Bookings to and from Berlin Tegel (TXL) will be changed to the new Brandenburg Airport (BER)
- Brussels Airlines continues to connect the European capital and Berlin five times a day.
On 08th of November, Brussels Airlines – together with the other Lufthansa Group Network Airlines Austrian, Lufthansa and SWISS – officially moves its Berlin flights from Berlin Tegel (TXL) to the new Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER).
At 06h50 hrs, flight SN2592 will be the first Brussels Airlines flight to take off from the new airport. The first landing is scheduled for 07th of November in the evening, when SN2591 arrives in Berlin for a nightstop.
A centrally organized security checkpoint, modern technologies in the control lanes and more spacious terminals promise great convenience at the new Brandenburg Airport. A highlight is the 1,560 square meter Lufthansa Lounge, located in the northern part of the Main Pier and offering an exclusive apron view of the Berlin skyline. Passengers travelling on Lufthansa Group Airlines with Business Class Ticket, Frequent Traveller, Senator or Star Alliance Gold Status can relax, refresh or work in peace in the Lufthansa Lounge with separate Senator and Business areas before their flight.
On 31st of October, Berlin’s flight operations gradually start moving from Tegel Airport (TXL) to the new Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) over the course of one week. Tegel will close its doors on the 08th of November 2020.
The 32 weekly flights Brussels Airlines operates between Brussels and Berlin will keep the same schedule and the same flight numbers after the move. Brussels Airlines’ booking systems are being converted to the new airport. Customers who book a flight for the period from 8 November onwards will no longer see Tegel as their destination, but the new Brandenburg Airport (BER). Passengers who already hold a ticket for a flight after 07th of November will be informed and rebooked to the new airport.
Brussels Airlines operates flights to three destinations in Germany: Berlin, Hamburg and Hannover.
Meanwhile has Brussels Airlines announced that because of the rapidly declining demand in air travel within Europe the airline will further reduce flight frequencies between 02nd to at least the 14th of March on a number of routes to Northern Italy to limit the negative economic impact on its business.
As the overall changing demand on the European markets and mainly on Italy continues, the Belgian airline is equally forced to extend the measures and reduce its flight offers to Milan Linate and Milan Malpensa, Venice, Rome, Bologna and Turin between 16th and 28th of March with 30%.
Despite the reduced flight frequencies, Brussels Airlines continues to serve all its destinations in Italy.
Passengers whose flight is cancelled are being contacted and rebooked on other available flights or they can choose to get a full refund, if they do not wish to travel anymore.
Brussels Airlines flies daily from the European capital to Entebbe in Uganda, with one of the flights routing via Bujumbura in Burundi and the other six flights routing via Kigali in Rwanda.
