Brussels Airlines takes part in new marketing initiative with Brussels Tourism

SPROUT‘ TO BE BRUSSELS TAKES SOCIAL NETWORKS BY STORM

«Sprout to be Brussels», a word play bringing together «proud» and «sprout», the famous Brussels sprout vegetable, is a major social movement that arose early in the summer of 2016. This slogan that recalls both typical Belgian whimsy and surrealism grew through a series of activities led by citizens, traders, entrepreneurs and Brussels actors designed to highlight their pride in Brussels and to showcase the thriving cultural scene and the exciting range of events currently being staged in the city. The symbol of the little green mini cabbage has rapidly begun to appear in the city’s streets.

It is in support of the ‘Sprout to be Brussels‘ movement and as a prelude to the international campaign to promote the city of Brussels did visit.brussels, the Brussels Hotels Association and Brussels Airlines join forces to offer a trip for 2 to 21 prize winners from 21 targeted countries. A jury will award prizes to the most original photographs which will be shared on the website and on social networks. In addition to return flights to Brussels Airport, which is a just a few minutes by train from Brussels city centre, the lucky winners will enjoy two nights in a 3, 4 or 5 star hotel and will be given a 72 hours Brussels Card each to help them discover some of the cultural events on offer in the capital. Be it fans of comic strips, art nouveau, art déco, contemporary art, gastronomy and history or simply those who love city breaks, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

The campaign is now unfolding in the following countries : Germany, Austria, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, Spain, the United States, France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, United Kingdom and the Czech Republic. Winners will be able to plan their trip between 15th of February and the 30th of June 2017.

The winners will stay in the following hotels: Thon Hotels, Steigenberger Wiltcher’s, Silken Berlaymont Hotel, Radisson Hotels, NH Hotels, Martin’s Brussels EU, Marivaux Hotel, JAM Hotel, Aloft Brussels Schuman, Accor Hotels.Given the volume of travelers to Europe via Brussels on Brussels Airlines from Africa are efforts being made to also include African countries in this or add on competitions to appreciate the efforts made by African travelers to see Brussels and Belgium through the lens of their cameras.
