#BrusselsAirlines again best airline across the North Atlantic

GLOBAL TRAVELER‘ MAGAZINE NAMES BRUSSELS AIRLINES FOR THE SECOND CONSECUTIVE YEAR AS BEST TRANSATLANTIC AIRLINE

The American magazine Global Traveler conducted its 16th annual GT Tested Reader Survey awards and awarded Brussels Airlines ‘Best Trans-Atlantic Airline’, based on their readers’ voting. It is the second consecutive year for the airline to receive the prize. The Belgian airline serves three destinations in North America, including New York, Washington and Toronto.

As from 29th of March 2020, Brussels Airlines will launch flights to Montreal and discontinue its seasonal service to Toronto as from 08th of January next year.

To receive the award for ‘Best Trans-Atlantic Airline’ for the second consecutive time is an even greater honour and it would not have been possible without the continuous commitment of our colleagues. In 2019, the Belgian airline invested in the renewal of its long haul fleet, welcoming 7 younger, quieter and environmentally friendlier Airbus A330 aircraft.

Brussels Airlines at the same time also renewed the cabin interior of its aircraft flying to and from North America, introducing a brand new Business Class, Premium Economy Class and Economy Class on its flights to and from Africa and North America. Since August 01st, Premium Economy Class is available on all flights to and from New York, Washington and Toronto.

At Brussels Airlines we aim to make the journey as important as the destination. The award comes as a great recognition for our continuous commitment towards the customer and proves once more our added value to the Joint venture with Air Canada, the Lufthansa Group and United Airlinesadded Christophe Allard, Brussels Airlines General Manager Business Development for The Americas.

For several of the 17 destinations in Africa, Brussels Airlines second home continent, have the new aircraft also began to serve routes, among them Entebbe, Kigali and Bujumbura in Eastern Africa. By 2020 will all routes be served with aircraft offering the state of the art new cabin layouts.

Besides Africa does Brussels Airlines offer additional 65 destinations in Europe and also flies to Tel Aviv.

The company today has over 4,000 employees and 48 aircraft on the fleet, operating some 250 flights daily and flying more than 10 million passengers a year to, via and from Brussels Airport.

The airline serves Entebbe daily out of Brussels with one of the flights routing via Bujumbura / Burundi while the remaining six flights route via Kigali / Rwanda. The Entebbe to Brussels return service operates nonstop.
