#BrusselsAirlines reaches agreement with cabin crew unions about reward package

Brussels Airlines is happy to announce an agreement has been reached with the cabin crew unions about their reward package. The deal was signed today by all unions. Details of the deal will be communicated to the cabin crew members in the coming days. The deal stays within the foreseen budget and focusses mainly on making a long-term career as a cabin crew member at Brussels Airlines even more interesting. 

 

During the covid-crisis, all employees at Brussels Airlines had to make sacrifices to save the company. Now Brussels Airlines is back to profitability, a deal has been negotiated that will increase the purchasing power of cabin crew members at Brussels Airlines, while taking into account its current fragile cost position. The focus of the deal is to make a long-term career more interesting. That includes an increased salary grid for pursers, function premiums for senior pursers and other attractive rewards for instructors and cabin crew with a management function. At the same time, all cabin crew members will amongst others benefit from an increased night stop allowance.

 

Said Filip Aerts, Head of Flight Operations, Brussels Airlines: ‘We are very happy to have reached this agreement with the cabin crew unions. We would like to thank all of them for the constructive meetings of the past few weeks. It proves that when we sit together and when everybody is willing to reach a deal, mountains can be moved.

 

The deal that was signed today is only about the reward package for cabin crew members. Negotiations continue about the work-life balance. At the same time, Brussels Airlines is working on other improvements for the crew community too like  a brand-new training center which opened recently, new more inclusive uniforms which were presented and the airline will soon open a new crew room at Brussels Airport.
