REGIME CHANGE IN CONGO SEES BRUSSELS AIRLINES INVITED TO RETURN TO DAILY FLIGHTS

It was reliably learned that Brussels Airlines is getting ready to once again fly daily from the European capital city to Kinshasa, now that a new government has been installed under President Tshisekedi.
The former regime under dictator Kabila Junior had multiple run-ins with not just the European Union – as a result was the Schengen House which issued Visa on behalf of member countries for Congolese citizens closed – but had also caused problems for the Belgian national airline, forcing a reduction of flights from daily to just four a week at the time for reasons best known to those in government who tried to benefit from it.
Now, relations between Congo and the EU and many other countries have significantly improved and as a result – the Schengen House is expected to reopen soon again if not actually open already – will Brussels Airlines at the earliest opportunity move back to daily flights, using an Airbus A330-300 on the route.
Travel between Congo and the EU was severely impacted due to the lower number of flights, as was the transporation of urgent air cargo like medicines, urgently needed spare parts and other items, now seemingly a thing of the past.
