#BrusselsAirlines welcomes Lufthansa Group airlines to BHouse

(Posted 30th January 2024)

Following a productive workshop with all LHG airlines visiting Bhouse at BRU, to work on operations sustainability, Brussels Airlines is working and contributing towards achieving a neutral CO? balance by 2050.

The heart of an airline is its operations; flight operations, ground operations, maintenance & engineering, and the operational control centre, and this is where they now focus their efforts in reducing CO? emissions.

With several internal initiatives, and working with all the airlines in the group through the LHG Operations Sustainability Program (OSP), launched in 2023, it serves as a holistic approach to reduce CO? emissions for Brussels Airlines in Belgium.

Within their own operations, and working collaboratively with the 10 operations of the airlines, there are several initiatives such as Single-Engine Taxi, Reduced Flaps landings, Continuous Descent Optimisations, and AeroShark on their A330 fleet.

Through these and many more initiatives, they aim to optimise the use of every gram of fuel used in their operations.
