Brussels Airport in times of corona
In these unprecedented times, Brussels Airport remains open to carry out certain operational activities. This includes cargo and essential flights such as military, diplomatic, medical and repatriation flights. Please note that the federal police checks all passengers to confirm that their trip is indeed considered essential.

As in any other public place, it is very important to strictly apply all hygiene rules and always keep a distance of 1.5 m from other people. It is now also compulsory to wear a face mask at the airport. Passengers who do not have a mask will receive one from the airport.

We hope to welcome you back to our airport soon, when travel can resume. In the meantime, we hope all our passengers, employees, colleagues and everyone else stay safe and healthy.

What has changed at the airport?
Brussels Airport
Just like in any other public areas, it’s very important to strictly apply all hygiene measures and to keep a distance of 1.5 metres from others. Furthermore, it is also mandatory to wear a face mask at the airport.
Brussels Airport has taken many measures to guarantee the health of staff and passengers: adapted queues, stickers with precautions and where you can and cannot sit, plexiglass at the counters, presence of hand dispensers, extra cleanings, etc. We ask each passenger for his or her cooperation to respect the social distance in order to protect himself/herself and others.
Picking up a friend or relative
Pickup
Passengers arriving at Brussels Airport are only returning passengers. The advice to these passengers is to go home by public transport or taxi.

Public transport remains active, the Airport Express between Brussels Airport and Antwerp is no longer in service, but taxi services and their alternatives remain in service, provided that the number of passengers is limited and hygiene measures are reinforced.

The arrival hall remains open as usual, but the social- distance rule (1.5 m) is applicable in all circumstances. Furthermore, we recommend you to wait outside the airport building or in carparks P2 or P3 to pick them up.
