CALL FOR ENTRIES: 6th AFRICA YOUTH IN TOURISM INNOVATION CHALLENGE 2024

In collaboration with UNWTO, BDO, and Millvest, Africa Tourism Partners calls all youth entrepreneurs and start-ups to attend the 6th Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Summit and Challenge. This is scheduled to take place in Windhoek, Namibia from May 28 to May 31, 2024.

This is the only pan-African platform dedicated to Youth and Start-ups in Tourism. It serves as a pivotal arena for SMEs, youth, and start-ups engaged in tourism, travel, hospitality, aviation, academia, and related industries to foster connections, engage in meaningful discourse, acquire knowledge, innovate, and foster growth.

The 2023 and 5th edition of the Innovation Challenge received a total 150 competition entries from diverse regions across the continent. These entries reflected the innovative spirit of young minds seeking to redefine the landscape of travel, tourism, and related industries.

Winners and runners-up stand the chance to win a total prize valued at $12,000 USD in cash and kind including:

  • Cash grant seed of $1000.00 for the winner and $500.00 each for the 1st and 2nd runners-up.
  • Scholarship to enrolment for short courses provided by the UNWTO.
  • Sponsored membership to join Africa Youth Innovation Hub (valued at $5000 USD), Mentorship,
  • Partnership opportunities, potential funding support, and career prospects.
  • Speaking opportunity at 7th Africa Tourism Leadership Forum, scheduled to take place in Botswana in September 2024.

We encourage all youth entrepreneurs, starts-ups, and students to submit their entries and save-up to attend the 6th and 2024 edition of the Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Summit & Challenge in Namibia.

6TH EDITION & 2024 SUMMIT REGISTRATION

Date: 28th May 2024 – 31st May 2024

Venue: Windhoek, Namibia

The 6th and 2024 Youth in Tourism Innovation Summit & Challenge will be hosted by the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism, Namibia. The key focus areas will include but not limited to youth entrepreneurship, and students’ immersion in innovation, small enterprise development, personal transformation, and self-actualisation.

Delegates will connect with African and global tourism leaders, entrepreneurial innovators, and partner organizations from across Africa and rest of the world.
