Looking for a career in conservation? Need that first chance to join the charity sector? We have some great news! Applications for Save the Rhino International’s 11th Michael Hearn Internship are now open!
This 13-month fixed-term post at UK-based Save the Rhino International comes with a salary of £18,000 per annum, and is exclusively available to highly motivated school leavers or those graduating from first degrees in 2016 or 2017. |
|
The Michael Hearn Internship is an excellent all-round introduction to the conservation charity sector, designed to honour the memory of the late Michael Hearn, by giving other budding conservationists some of the experiences he gained during his short but impressive career working to protect rhinos. The role includes an entire month in Namibia, shadowing staff from Save the Rhino Trust. Quite simply, entry level opportunities don’t come much better than this! |
|
"Being the Michael Hearn Intern has been a truly incredible experience. I have learnt so much, met some fantastic people, and been lucky enough to see rhinos in the wild!
It is a great opportunity for any young person looking to get into the conservation and/or charity sector. Working in such a small organisation gives you a rare opportunity to take on considerable responsibility and quickly develop high-level skills.
I feel very lucky to have been given the chance to honour Michael Hearn and be a part of Save the Rhino International’s fantastic work ."
