Entebbe International Airport inflicted a whopping fee increase on motorists entering the fenced area to drop or pick passengers – in some fee categories more than doubling the charges.
The new fees will take effect on 01st of November 2024 as per the schedule shown below:
The airport managing company, the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority, was swift to try and mitigate the financial damages by pointing out that the last fee increase dates back to 2009, i.e. 15 years ago. This however will be little consolation for motorists whose fees now jump from 2.000 Uganda Shillings for the first hour to 5.000 Uganda Shillings for the first hour. an increase of 150 percent.
