Your Input Matters! AfCFTA Tourism Regulatory Framework

The AfCFTA Secretariat is pleased to share with you the Draft Regulatory Framework on Tourism Services, developed as part of the ongoing AfCFTA negotiations on trade in services. The Regulatory Framework has been developed to support the market access commitments under the schedules by addressing key challenges in the sector, promote regulatory coherence, and integrate and promote best practices and regulatory principles across the tourism and travel-related sector in Africa. This framework is informed by regulatory principles aimed at ensuring transparency, sustainability, and competitiveness across various tourism sub-sectors.
We would greatly appreciate your comments and feedback on the framework in anticipation of a stakeholder workshop, which is scheduled for the 10 – 12 March 2025. The details are below:
