JAMES RATTOS JOINS SUN AFRICA AS GROUP GENERAL MANAGER

James Rattos has joined Sun Africa Hotels as Group General Manager, following a restructuring of the company’s management after former Group CEO Mohammed Hersi left the company after just one year at the helm.
James’ immediate former position was as General Manager of the Madhvani owned Marasa Chobe Safari Lodge in Murchisons Falls National Park following previous assignments as General Manager of Enashipai Resort & Spa and of course as Director of Sales – and previous F&B Manager – at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel.
James in his new capacity will be overseeing operations of SAH’s two resorts in Mombasa, the Sun Africa Beach Resort and the Nyali Sun Africa Resort & Spa but also the Lake Naivasha Country Club, the Kiboko Luxury Camp, the Sovereign Suites and the under redevelopment Lake Baringo Club. Also in the portfolio is the famous Keekorok Safari Lodge and a new upcoming hotel in Hurlingham / Nairobi.
Rahul Sood remains, though based in the UAE, Group CEO and Group Managing Director Africa and Middle East and James will be reporting directly to him.
This also gives an opportunity to thank Mohammed Hersi for his fine cooperation over the past year and welcome James Rattos to his new position, with best wishes for both of them in their new assignments.
