Maintaining Our Standards, Beyond MCC
We have now been flying MCC (Multi Crew Coordination) in our cockpits for 10 months. The culture in the cockpit has transformed into becoming the norm of not only 2 pilots but to flying as a team, promoting the safety and efficiency of each flight.
The continual training and assessment of our pilots has further evolved, as we have established a Standards department, responsible for ensuring that all of our pilots and all of our flights follow the Coastal standard. We take feedback from multiple sources, including our own internal reporting, feedback from customers and other operators, to bring our teams to task.
The journey to promote ever increasing standards of safety and operations is continuous and needs focus and determination. At Coastal, we are fortunate to have more than 20 years’ experience of Captain Maynard Mkumbwa as our Director of Flight Operations and 3-decades’ of aviation Captain,
Emile Dellieu as our Director of Standards and Training. With the top leadership team, we will continue to assess, evaluate and evolve our standards to give all our customers the assurance for every flight they take with Coastal.
