Captain Aziz Abdallah Salim a few days ago retired from Coastal Aviation after a distinguished career as a pilot, accumulating over 33.000 flight hours. Capt. Aziz initially started flying for Air Tanzania on both De Havilland Twin Otter and Fokker 27 aircraft, before eventually joining Coastal Aviation where he rose through the ranks as a pilot, an instructor and eventually becoming the airline’s Chief Pilot.
At the time of his retirement did Capt. Aziz also serve as the Chairman of the Tanzania Pilots Association.
Coastal Aviation conducted special water cannon salute as he taxied towards his parking position after his last commercial flight.
ATCNews joins Capt. Aziz’s colleagues at Coastal Aviation and from the Tanzanian aviation fraternity to wish him all the best in retirement and his future endeavours.
