AIR MAURITIUS IN CODE SHARE DEAL WITH HONG KONG AIRLINES

Air Mauritius and Hong Kong Airlines are now operating the twice a week flights between Mauritius and Hong Kong on a codeshared basis after the Chinese airline, following regulatory approvals, put their HX flight number on the Air Mauritius service.
Flights MK 641 / 640 are mirrored by HX 1641 / 1640 for the Thursday and Sunday departures from the Sir Seewoosagur Ramgolaam International Airport and the return flights on Tuesday and Saturday respectively.
The aircraft used on the route is an Airbus A340.
Air Mauritius also operates flights to three destinations in mainland China, namely Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu as the Chinese outbound tourist market has boosted arrivals into Mauritius as one of the strongest emerging source markets.
