COMESA BUSINESS COUNCIL LAUNCHES QUARTERLY ‘BUSINESS DIGEST’

The COMESA private sector organ, the COMESA Business Council, has, following the recent summit in Kinshasa, now launched a quarterly newsletter. The aim was described as imparting important information to the private sector as well as staying in touch with sectoral associations across Africa’s largest trade block.
The inaugural edition, received yesterday, focuses on the following topics:
· Introduction of the new CBC Board of Directors 2014,
· 9th COMESA Business Partnerships Forum and Linkages Fair, 2014,
· CBC Brief on;
a) Promoting Manufacturing in the region and SMEs competitiveness,
b) Promoting the Coalition of Services Industries
(The Coalition of Services Industries includes the Financial Services Sector, the Tourism Platform and the Transport Sector.)
c) Tripartite Private sector platform,
d) Information Note.
