CONGO SUSPENDS BUSY BEE AIRLINES PERMITS TWO WEEKS AFTER DEADLY CRASH
(Posted 07th December 2019)
Congo’s Civil Aviation Authority has, effective 03rd of December, suspended all operating permits for Busy Bee Aviation, following the deadly crash on the 24th of November, grounding the airline until further notice. Why it took the Congolese aviation authorities that long to ground the airline has raised many negative comments and pointed questions from the aviation fraternity abroad. Busy Bee already suffered an accident in 2016, as also reported by ATCNews with without casualties at the time.
Busy Bee was operating a fleet of three Dornier 228-100 and Dornier 228-200 aircraft with 15 and 19 passenger seats respectively and served routes from Goma to Beni and Butembo.
