During the international year of tourism is the Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) and Africa Travel Association (ATA) proud to present the 41st Annual World Tourism Conference in Kigali, Rwanda. In collaboration with the Rwanda Development Board, CCA and ATA designed this conference to set the tone for how tourism can be utilized as an engine for economic growth and job creation through innovative business models, new technologies and strategic partnerships. The conference will also provide a platform to network and explore new tourism markets and products including the promotion and preservation of Africa’s rich cultural heritage and wildlife.

On behalf of the Africa Travel Association (ATA), a division of the Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) and Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) Business Council, you are invited to participate in the 41st Annual World Tourism Conference in Kigali, Rwanda on August 28th to 31st. The Conference will bring together government leaders, international investors and travel professionals from the U.S., Europe and Africa to set the tone for how tourism can be utilized as an engine for economic growth and job creation. The 41st Tourism Conference will be the first time ATA’s flagship conference is hosted under CCA leadership. CCA, the leading U.S. business association focused on African business and investment, acquired ATA in January 2016.
At this conference, we will officially launch a Council of Tourism Ministers.This will serve as a platform to discuss policies supporting tourism, and ways in which the sector can be leveraged to stimulate economic and social development on the continent.
The Council will also serve as an influential advisory group to CCA’s new tourism initiative.
Additionally, Facebook/Instagram will host special workshops for government and tourism officials on August 28the at 2 p.m. or 14.00 hrs.
Attendees are welcome to bring a delegation of public and private sector tourism experts from the COMESA REGION to attend the conference. The conference will feature special opportunities for exhibitors / participants and their delegations to highlight COMESA’S tourism initiatives and promote investment opportunities in travel and tourism to attendees. The organizers will facilitate private business-to-government meetings between exhibitors / participants and companies interested in investing in COMESA tourism sector.
